Routing a tube will depend on how you have mounted the press. Most people who mound the press directly to a counter bench top, cut a hole for the tube to pass thru. It would need to be large enough for the tube to pass freely as it moves up and down. Some people use a raised mount and either cut a hole or route the tube around the front edge of the counter bench top. Personally I use the inline fabrication mount (mine is a medium height) and it passes in front of my counter top.
